I use dbpoweramp, but I think they might charge for that now (I have an older version). But there are other free programs out there…just search on google or yahoo for "mp3 converter."

With uncompressed AVI it wouldn’t suprise me. You could import to movie maker and export as a wmv. That would dramatically reduce the size of the file.
